BARBARA ANN WITTE
Barbara Ann Witte, 82, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away at Cass County Memorial Hospital on September 4, 2012.
Barbara was born the daughter of Fred and Myrtle Togerson Geiger Sr. on July 13, 1930, in Atlantic. She attended the Atlantic schools, graduating from Atlantic High School.
Barbara was married to Donald William Witte in Maryville, Missouri on September 26, 1957. The couple settled in Atlantic where they raised a daughter, Janis.
Folks will remember her as a salesclerk, as she was employed by Scotts, later Larsen’s Ben Franklin 5&10 store for over 30 years, until they closed. She enjoyed playing bingo, collecting antiques, knitting and crocheting.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Janis Boggs of Atlantic; grandchildren, Donald Boggs and Lisa Swolley, Laura Boggs, David Boggs and Barbara Boggs, all of Atlantic; great grandchildren, Johnathon Kobs, Theresa Sutton, Miranda Yarrington, Devin Boggs and Levi Swolley; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Witte; brothers and sisters, Fred Geiger, Jr., Lester Geiger, Bill Geiger, Betty Busimer, Margarete McKain, Ruth Campbell, May Goold and Lois Simington.
