Melvin Winger

Graveside memorial services were held at the Atlantic Cemetery on Thursday, May 29, 2003, at 10:00 A.M. for Melvin Winger, 87, who passed away January 13, 2003 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.A native of Atlantic, Iowa and resident of Beaumont for thirty-five years, Mr. Winger was a retired band director with the Beaumont Independent School District. He was a United States World Was II Army veteran and a fifty-year member of Silsbee Masonic Lodge AF & AM #927 and El Mina Shrine Temple.Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-five years, Rae (Mignon) Winger of Beaumont; son, Thomas Winger and his wife Julia of Beaumont; brothers, Thomas M. Winger of Las Vegas, Nevada and M.E. Winger of Plover, Iowa; sister, Marjorie Laursen of Atlantic, Iowa; and granddaughter, Regina Michelle Winger of Beaumont.Funeral Information
