Obituary for
Juanita Wilson
Juanita L. Wilson, 89, of Atlantic, and formerly of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at her home.
Juanita was born on December 16, 1925, in Shelbina, Missouri, the daughter of Ira and Lillian Mae (Saggeser) MacLane. She grew up in Hannibal, Missouri and attended school there. In the late 1940's she moved to Omaha, Nebraska, and this is where she met her husband Marvin Harold Wilson. Juanita worked at Fuller Brush Company for nearly 10 years, and left employment at Fuller to care for her children. She has lived in Atlantic for the last 4 years.
She loved the outdoors, whether it was tending to her flower garden or watching the butterflies flutter. Roses were her favorite flower. Juanita enjoyed spending time at home and some of her indoor favorites included embroidery, puzzle books, and search-and-finds. She took a real liking to country western music.
Juanita is survived by her children, Marvin (Ellie) Wilson of Honey Creek, Iowa, Ronnie Wilson of Omaha, NE, Peggy (Joe) Holloway of Atlantic, Iowa, and Jeff Wilson of Atlantic, Iowa; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Becky Whittley; brother; six sisters; and daughter-in-law, Nancy Wilson.
