Obituary for
Diane Kay (Clinton) Johnson Wilson
Diane Wilson, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away at her residence on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the age of 54. Diane Kay was born the second daughter of Pat and Karen (Wolford) Clinton on July 14, 1959. At a young age she was confirmed in the Catholic faith and held a strong belief in God throughout her life.
Diane was married to Jeff Johnson and the couple was blessed with two children, Ashley Ann and Jade Scott. There was a second marriage to Richard Wilson and they resided in Texas. She was a free spirit with a love for adventure that led her into many areas, including motorcycle trips, water sports, horseback riding, fishing, camping, riding four-wheelers and trips to Costa Rica and Mexico.
Diane was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and dogs. She is known for her artistic ability and decorating flair. She loved searching for collectables and trinkets that she proudly displayed in her home. She was a lover of music and movies, quick to defend the underdog which blessed her life with faithful friends who will miss her greatly.
Diane is survived by her two children, Ashley Anderson and Jade Johnson of Minnesota; her mother, Karen Wolford of Atlantic, Iowa; her father, Patrick Clinton of Utah, three sisters; Terri Clinton-Reinke of Atlantic, Vickie Cummings of Huntsville, Texas, Sue Cooper of Carrollton, Texas and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. She will also be greatly missed by her constant companion, her dog, Noah.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Patrick Clinton; grandparents, Glen and Lois Wolford and Earl "Skinner" and Lois Clinton.
Family visitation will be held Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa. The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 20th at 10:30 AM at the First Assembly of God Church in Atlantic, Iowa.
