Obituary for Ardis Lucille Will

Ardis Lucille Will, 82, long time Atlantic resident passed away Monday, August 25, 2003, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.Lucille was born July 3, 1921 in Wiota, Iowa to Harvey and Esther (Ward) Morgan. She was reared in the Wiota area and graduated from Wiota High School in 1938. Lucille married Gerald Will on October 30, 1939 in Maryville, MO. From that union two sons were born. Gerald and Lucille farmed west of Atlantic until 1956 when they moved to Atlantic. They owned and operated the Calumet Cafe. Lucille was manager of Sara Coventry Jewelry for 23 years then she was employed with Christensen Insurance for several years before working at Medicine Chest. Lucille was past president of the Atlantic Does in 1962, past state president of Does in 1963, Deputy Grand Regent of the Moose Lodge and was on the state board of the Easter Seals. She was a member of the United Church of Christ.Lucille is survived by two sons, Darrell Will and his wife Patricia of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota and Dwight Will and his wife Cindy of Wiota; six grandchildren, Grant Will of Huron, South Dakota, Angie Reinhardt and husband Carl of Dakota Dunes, South Dakota; Dana Bisson and husband Keith of Morrice, Michigan, Wendy Goracke and husband Pat of Lincoln, NE, Cody Will and fiancee Amanda Schuler of Wiota and Chance Will of Wiota; two step-grandchildren, Lee Sykes of Elk Hart, Iowa and Wes Sykes of Maryville, Missouri; seven great-grandchildren, Peyton Goracke, Jayden Bisson, Jake Bisson, Cole Reinhardt, Ashley Bisson, Alex Reinhardt and Brysen Goracke.Lucille was preceeded in death by her parents and her husband Gerald.Funeral InformationA memorial service for Lucille will be held Thursday, August 28, 2003, at the United Church of Christ at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Sharon Guffey-Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic, Iowa.
