Obituary for
Bill F. Wilkinson
Bill Floyd Wilkinson, age 83, of Centennial, Colorado passed away to be with God on September 9, 2006. He was born on February 28, 1923 in Atlantic, Iowa where he will be interred on September 15, 2006. Bill served in the U.S. Armed Service during World War II as a sergeant where he was a decorated soldier and POW. After leaving the service, Bill worked for the U.S. Parks Department, Bureau of Indian Affairs and the Corps of Engineers.Affectionately known to most as Poor Old Bill, he was a loving and caring father and husband that liked to travel and experience all that life had to offer. He was an avid Denver Broncos fan and was almost as good at growing his garden as he was at fostering relationships. Surviving his death are his wife, Helen Wilkinson; his children, Cheryl Bellmann of Raleigh, NC, Brad Wilkinson of Columbus, OH, Diane Reed (James) of Lagona Beach, CA, Stan Christopherson (Cheri) of Strasburg, CO, Denise Rice (Don) of Denver, CO and Anita Dudley (Tom) of Englewood, CO; grandchildren, Matthew Bellman of Troutman, NC, Nicolas Bellmann of Atlanta, GA, Brandon Dudley, Tyler Dudley, Jacquelin Reed, Julie Reed, Sterling Christopherson, Tanner Christopherson and one great granddaughter, Avery Bellmann. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey (Vorrath) and his daughter, Deborah.A memorial service will be held at the Roland Funeral Home on Friday, September 15 at 10:30 A.M. Military graveside services will be held at the Atlantic Cemetery.
