Obituary for Brenda Kay Wendt
On Monday, September 19, 2016, at 10:21 p.m., the Lord called home Brenda Kay Wendt of Grant, Iowa.
Brenda Kay Pace was born on June 16, 1951, in Murray, Kentucky, the daughter of J.D. and Lilie Mae (Stack) Pace. She attended Murray Community Schools and graduated in the Class of 1968.
On July 19, 1991, she was united in marriage to David Wendt in Guthrie Center, Iowa. She worked as a CNA for many years, and in 1992 transferred to food service.
In her spare time she enjoyed going to antique stores and yard sales. Brenda was an avid reader. She looked forward to spending time with family and getting together at family outings.
For 65 years, Brenda was the light in many friends' and families' lives and will live in our hearts forever.
Brenda will be deeply missed by her loving husband, David Wendt of Grant; two sons, James Davis and Jerry (Amanda) Miller all of Des Moines, IA; brothers and sisters, Johnny Pace of North Carolina, Timmy Pace, Randy Pace, Mikey Pace, Gary Pace, Ronnie Pace, and David Pace all of Kentucky, Glenda Wolfe of Florida, and Mary Raccuglia of Pennsylvania; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of Des Moines, Iowa, whom she cherished very much.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers.
Visitation with the family will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, September 24, 2016, at Roland Funeral Home. Following the visitation the family invites you to join them at Camblin Addition in Sunnyside Park until 9:00 p.m. for food and sharing of memories.
No formal funeral service is planned.
