Julie Weideman

Julie Weideman, 42, of Atlantic, passed on at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic on Thursday, May 25, 2006.Julie was born the daughter of Willis Noble and Iola Mae (Christensen) Nelsen at Carroll, Iowa on November 6, 1963. She grew up in Exira and graduated from the Exira High School. She attended Iowa Western Community College and had her own day care for a number of years, and was employed with the Clarinda Company and the Fareway Grocery Store in Atlantic. Julie was married to Mark Todd Weideman at the Exira United Federated Church of Christ on November 24, 1995. The couple lived in Atlantic where they enjoyed raising their three children. The highlights of Julie's life were spending time with her children, working with flowers, cooking, the outdoors and her dear cat. She was a member of the Exira Federated United Church of Christ where she was baptized and confirmed. Julie is survived by her husband, Mark of Atlantic; their daughter, Amy Jo Madsen; their two sons, Matthew (Matt) Dale Madsen and Tyler James Weideman; her parents, Willis and Iola Nelsen of Exira; her three brothers, Larry Peppers and his wife, Claudia of Creston, Mark Peppers of Council Bluffs, Kris Nelsen of Council Bluffs; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wendell and Shirley Weideman of Atlantic; two sister-in-laws, Denise Lowary and her husband, Jeff of Atlantic and Sherry Pross and her husband, Nick of Atlantic and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Edwin and Vivian Christensen and Chris P. and Dora NelsenJulie's funeral service is set for Tuesday, at 1:30 P.M., on May 30 at Roland Funeral Home, in Atlantic, with Pastor Nancy Jensen of the Exira Federated United Church of Christ officiating. Her family will meet with friends for a visitation on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00. The interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.Funeral Information
