JERRY A. WATTS Jerry Watts, 40, of Atlantic, passed away following a sudden heart attack, at Creighton Medical Center in Omaha on Sunday evening, February 20, 2011. Jerry Allan Watts was born, the son of Frank "Butch" D. and Hazel (Thorn) Watts in Atlantic on May 15, 1970. He attended school in Atlantic from elementary into Atlantic High School. He worked with Cook Tree Trimming and Camblin Mechanical Incorporated until he became disabled. His hobbies included watching movies and fishing and he especially had fun times with his son DJ. Some of his favorite pastimes were enjoying his cats and pursuing art-work; particularly drawing. Jerry's friends and family will always remember him as out-going, caring and compassionate. He was enthusiastic about roller skating and made friends with everyone. An especially memorable holiday was spent with his family the Christmas of December of 2010. Jerry's survivors include his son DJ Watts of Omaha, NE; his mother Hazel Watts of Atlantic; his sisters, Teresa Smith and husband Charlie of Atlantic and Tina Douthit and husband David of Neosho, MO and their children Sara, Katie and Chris; and brothers, Allan Watts and his wife Kerry and children, Travis, Courtny, and Josh of Harlan and Randy Watts and wife Marsha and children, Brittney, Zac, Mat and Mike of Atlantic; and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad, Butch Watts; grandparents, Helen and Frank Watts; his nephew Jared Watts; and many aunts and an uncle.Funeral Information There will be open visitation at the Roland Funeral Home from 8:00 - 5:30 daily until the family meets with friends Wednesday evening from 5:00 - 7:00. Jerry's funeral service will be held at Roland Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, February 24. Father Dan Siepker of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Atlantic will officiate.
