Thelm E. Warren
Thelm Edwin Warren, a former Atlantic resident, passed away in Sheridan, Wyoming on May 13, 2006 at the age of 95. He had been a resident of Sheridan since June 1, 1994 when he moved to be near a nephew, Larry Warren.Thelm was one of seven children born to George Edwin and Jennie (Shepperd) Warren on August 23, 1910. His mother passed away when Thelm was 10 years old and his father continued to raise the family on the farm north of Atlantic. Thelm spend most of his life on that same farm. He attended the Five Mile Grove School and graduated from the Atlantic High School in 1929.In addition to his farming operation, Thelm worked on the Alcan Highway in Alaska and served in the U.S. Navy from February 9, 1943 to October 28, 1945. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.Thelm was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Mrs. Einer (Wilma) Bisgard, Mrs. H. Donald (Zelphia) Wilson, Mrs. Virgil (Iona) Blakely, Mrs. Carol (Jennie Marie) Curtis and Mrs. Howard L. (Mae) Nelson; four brothers-in-law, Einer Bisgard, Carol Curtis, H. Donald Wilson and Virgil Blakely.He is survived by one brother, Glynn J. Warren and wife ( Eloise of San Luis Obispo, California; and brother-in-law, Howard L. Nelson of Des Moines, Iowa.
