Albert Warnke
ALBERT WARNKE Albert Warnke, age 85, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009, in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital. Albert was born on April 24, 1923 to Wilhelm and Emilie Warnke in Adich, Bodwalder, Germany and was raised on a farm near Angerburs in the former East Prussia and attended school until the 8th grade. At the age of 17, in 1940, Albert went into the German Air Force where he was a supply truck driver and a medic. He was a POW at the end of the war in Holland. On January 25, 1952, Albert was united in marriage to Adele Schwanette Seeberg. He loved nature and fishing. He was proud of the fact he was his own boss by running his own business and farming northwest of Walnut. Albert is survived by his wife Adele of Atlantic; two sons, Richard and wife Marilyn Warnke of Omaha, NE and Randolf and wife Kimberly-Ann Palazzo of Long Grove, IA; grandchildren, Daniel, Keith, Timothy and Carolyn Warnke of Omaha, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters and five brothers.Funeral Information There will be a private service for Albert with Pastor Ken Davidson of Atlantic officiating. The family will meet with friends Monday evening February 23 from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic.
