								                                    Reba June  VanDerHart
 
 
  Reba June VanDerHart, 84, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 27, 2018, at Heritage House in Atlantic.
  
  
  The daughter of William Henry and Clara Grayce (Greenfield) Briggs, Reba was born December 21, 1933, in Council Bluffs, IA.  Reba grew up in Oakland, Griswold, and Lyman, IA and graduated from Griswold High School in 1952.  She lived in Omaha, Nebraska and worked for Mutual of Omaha for a short time.  On January 1, 1954, she was united in marriage to John William VanDerHart at the Lyman Gospel Hall.  Following their marriage, they farmed near Pella, IA, for eight years and then moved southwest of Cumberland to continue farming.  In 1976, they moved into Cumberland and Reba was a homemaker; staying home to care for her family.  After a stroke in 2006, Reba moved to Omaha, NE, and then to Colorado to live with family.  Reba accepted Christ as her personal Savior at the age of 15 in Lyman, IA.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking, visiting family and sharing in the joys of the Lord.
  
  
  Reba is survived by her five daughters and one son,  Linda (John) Hartkopf of Atlantic, Iowa, Janice (Steve) Walrath of Florence, Kentucky, Carol (Floyd) Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska, Alice (Mark) Jacobberger of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Martha (Mike) Gardner of Parker, Colorado and Harold (Melissa) VanDerHart of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska;  twenty-one grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
  
  
  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; sister, Rose Marie Fredrickson; great-granddaughter, Faith Bateman; and other premature great-grandchildren that were close to her heart.
  
  
  Visitation with the family present will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2018, at Roland Funeral Home.
  
  
  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic.  Burial will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
