Juanita E. Turner
Juanita Estelle Turner Juanita Estelle (Parsons) Turner passed away Friday, September 11, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of John Amos and Beulah Ruth Mallon Parsons, she was born in Casey, Iowa April 13, 1919 and attended school in Walnut and Lewis, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Jess Turner in 1935 in Atlantic, Iowa where they made their home. She was a 38 year member of American Legion Auxiliary #43. During her 27 years as a member of Eagles #3763, she held the positions of Past Madam President (3), Vice President, Chaplin, Trustee, Grandmother, Mother (Several Times) and Charities too numerous to mention. Juanita enjoyed camping and fishing with her family, playing cards with her longtime friends at the Senior Center and playing bingo as often as possible. Surviving are son Jerry and wife Mary Claire of LaVista, NE; three daughters, Wanda Robinson and husband Jack of Lake Steverns, WA, Judy Wright and husband Barry and Kathie Rose and husband Bert of Atlantic, IA; 22 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren, and 29 great great-grand children; sister Virginia Almond of El Monte, CA; half sister Myrtle Parsons Jones of Chariton, IA; one half brother Edward Parsons of Audubon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
