THERESA ANN TOMASIEWICZ Theresa Ann Tomasiewicz, of Atlantic, Iowa passed away at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the age of 65. Theresa was born on February 11, 1943 in Omaha, Nebraska to Frank and Annette (Resnick) Tomasiewicz. She resided in Omaha, graduated from Mercy High School, and received her degree in nursing from Creighton University in Omaha. Theresa was a nurse at St. Joseph"s Hospital for 25 years and was the head nurse of emergency. Nursing was very important to her. She moved to Walnut and lived at Peace Haven for a year before moving to Atlantic in 2002. Theresa enjoyed knitting and loved to travel, making several trips to Europe. She had a love of music and animals. She loved fine china table settings and was talented with decorating. Her faith and Polish heritage were very important to her. Theresa especially enjoyed spending time with her niece and nephews. She is survived by two sisters, Maureen Hoffmann and husband Jim of Walnut, IA and Marie Thompson and husband Brian of Brisbane, Australia; niece Jackie Hoffmann of Cedar Rapids, IA and nephews, Ryan Hoffmann of Chicago, IL, Patrick Hoffmann of Ames, IA and Michael Hoffmann of Lawrence. KS.Funeral InformationServices for Theresa will be held Monday, November 24, at 10:00 AM at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Atlantic with Father Dan Siepker and Father John Frost officiating.There will be open visitation at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic with a family visitation Sunday evening at 7:00 followed by a scriptural wake service at 7:30. There will also be a family visitation Monday morning from 9:00 AM until services.
