Obituary for Lillian Dorothy Thulin

Lillian Dorothy Thulin, 82, of Atlantic, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 5, 2001 at the Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital in Council Bluffs.The daughter of August H. and Mary (Mamie) Louise (Mueller) Mueller, Lillian was born July 25 1919, southwest of Cumberland in Noble Township, and attended school in Pleasant Township, Cass County, Iowa. Lillian was united in marriage to Ross Francis Thulin on August 27, 1940 at the little Brown church in Nashua. Following marriage Lillian and Ross lived in Cass County until moving to Eugène, Oregon where they lived from 1955 to 1961. They farmed in the Elliott and Red Oak areas until 1980, when they retired and moved to Atlantic. Lillian was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Atlantic and the Lewis Priscilla Club.Surviving are one daughter Laraine Denise Thulin of Hopkins, Minnesota (a suburb of Minneapolis); one brother, Clifford Mueller of Griswold; one sister, Virginia Rossell and her husband Austin of Lewis; four nephews, Melvyn and Lynette Mueller of Neillsville, Wisconsin, Darwin and Shirley Mueller of Clear Lake, Iowa, Marlin and Caroline Rossell of Lewis, Iowa, and John and Tish Thulin of Chicago, Illinois; six nieces, Marlene and Roger Pittsenbarger of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Dana Keiser of Griswold, Iowa, Shirley and Clarence Kuper of Redman, Oregon, Kay Thulin of Canby, Oregon, Kathy and Bob Kuhl of Salem, Oregon, and Karen and Brian Rude of Coon Valley, Wisconsin; several great nieces and nephews; and many friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ross; and one brother Ralph Mueller.Funeral InformationServices for Lillian will be held Saturday, September 8, 2001, at 2:00 PM at the Evangelical Free Church in Atlantic, Iowa with Pastor Alan Seehusen officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Township Cemetery south of Griswold, Iowa.
