Jo Thomason

Josephine "Jo" Mary (Keith) Thomason Jo Thomason, 88, longtime resident of Atlantic, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at Heritage House in Atlantic. Jo was born to Preston M. and Mary Alice (Denne) Bell on September 27, 1920 at Wiota, Iowa. Jo attended school in Wiota and graduated with the Wiota High School class of 1938. She was married to Clyde Raymond Keith on March 24, 1941 at Marietta, GA. Clyde passed away in 1967. On February 14, 1972, Jo was united in marriage to Robert William Thomason in Tucson, AZ. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Atlantic. Jo loved spending time with her family. Jo"s survivors include her husband Robert "R.W.&" Thomason of Atlantic and her daughter Mary Jo Nelson and husband Gary of rural Atlantic; her sister, Ruth Cullen and husband Phil of Wiota; a step-daughter Marilyn Jensen and husband Craig of Loveland, CO; grandchildren, Jody Wohlenhaus and husband Mike of Adel, IA and Jeff Nelson and wife Trish of Audubon, IA; step-grandchildren, Traci Jensen and husband Jim of Arizona and Kyle Jensen and wife Heidi of Fort Collins, CO; great-granchildren, Quinn and Connor Wohlenhaus, Bailey and Kasey Nelson; Gabriella and Kellen Jensen; nephews, Mitch Cullen, Mike Cullen and wife Tami and Paul Dreager and wife Vanessa. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Preston Bell; her husband Clyde Keith and a granddaughter Jill Nelson.Funeral InformationServices for Jo will be held on Wednesday, December 17, at 2:00 P.M. at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic with Pastor Chuck Smith and Pastor Gary DeGeest officiating.
