Terrie Jensen

Terrie Jensen, 68, of Exira, Iowa, died Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic.

Trenace Ann was born on April 30, 1953, in Carroll, Iowa, the daughter of Orville K. and Norma D. (Eggers) Truitt. She grew up in Carroll and attended St. Lawrence Elementary School and graduated from Kuemper Catholic High School.

She was blessed with three children, Joseph, Jacquelyn and Rodney. Terrie lived in the Audubon and Atlantic area most of her life. She received her Registered Nurse Degree from DMACC; working in nursing homes her entire career.

What brought Terrie the greatest joy was spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren. She was a bit of a social butterfly and was someone you could always count on to help you. A few of her hobbies included trips to the casino to play the penny slots, traveling to visit family, and going to garage sales hoping to find another piece of chicken décor to add to her collection.

Terrie is survived by her children, Joseph King of California, Jacquelyn (Nathan) Wilson of Hamlin, IA, and Rodney King of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Ashlee and Allan King and Lucas Wilson; siblings, Robert Truitt of Omaha, NE, Mary (Pat) Clausen of Davenport, IA, Donald (Juanita) Truitt of Kiron, IA, Nadine Mathews of Breda, IA, Becky (Ronnie) Sparks of Kansas City, MO, Barbara Linn of Lake City, IA, Beth Ploeger of Independence , MO; and Arthur Truitt of Lohrville, IA; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister-in-law, Sandra Truitt.

A prayer service will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Cass County Community Building in Atlantic, followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial visitation from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
