MARGARET ELZENE (SCHRADER) TAYLOR Margaret Elzene Taylor of Atlantic, Iowa and formerly of Cumberland, Iowa passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Heritage House in Atlantic at the age of 90 years. Margaret was born on July 5, 1920 in Cumberland, Iowa to Fredrick Deitriech Christian Schrader and Mary Malinda (Drenner) Schrader. She attended school in Cumberland and graduated from Cumberland High School. She worked as a cook in the restaurants at the Atlantic Hotel and Van's Chat and Chew. On December 20, 1938, Margaret was united in marriage to Klive 'Mose' Marlowe Taylor in Atlantic, Iowa and to this union a son and three daughters were born. Margaret was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Atlantic. Her two favorite things were professional basketball and her grand children. She is survived by her daughter, Darla Kay Casady and husband Dick of Atlantic, IA, and her son, Klive Ray Taylor of Newton, IA. Margaret Elzene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Klive; an infant daughter, Kathy Lynn Taylor; daughter, Tammy Schaaf; granddaughters, Traci Ann Barnholdt and Kimberly Kay Schaaf; sons-in-law George C. Barnholdt and Paul Schaaf; and great granddaughter, Aura Patterson.Funeral Information There will be an open visitation at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic from noon on Thursday, March 17, until the family visitation on Friday evening, March 18, from 6:00 to 8:00. Services for Margaret will be Saturday, March 19, at 10:00 in the morning at the Roland Funeral Home with Pastor Nancy Jensen from the United Church of Christ in Atlantic officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
