GRACE L. SULLIVAN Grace Sullivan, 88, long time resident of Atlantic, passed away at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa on Tuesday, March 11, 2008. Grace was born the daughter of Loyd and Florence (Hyde) Jones on October 15, 1919, north of Corning, Iowa. She attended country school and Corning High School. Grace was married to Wayne Preston in 1935 and later to Bernard Sullivan on May 29, 1954. She was employed at Vans Chat and Chew restaurant in Atlantic and at Rex Pharmacy. She loved to read, garden and go to the library. She enjoyed growing orchids, African violets and cactus and also enjoyed photography and Bluegrass music. She is survived by three sons, Terry Preston of Corning, Mike Preston and wife Anita of Ankeny, Iowa and Bernard "Jim&" Sullivan of Atlantic; four daughters, Ellen Damewood and husband Harold of Silver City, Iowa, Lora Martin and husband Frank of Forest City, Louise Sullivan of Aurora, Colorado, Linda McCann and husband Jeff of Kremling, Colorado; five grandchildren, Ron Damewood of Silver City, Iowa, Kelly Preston of Corning, Iowa, Lodema Cullem and husband Mike of Kremling, Colorado, Chris Martin and wife Lindsay of Audubon, and Brian Martin and wife Megan of Ankeny, Iowa; a step granddaughter, Sally Cline of Ankeny, Iowa; four great grandchildren, Amber, Trevor, Connor and Henry; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Charles Jones; and four sisters, Mae Heimke, Doris Cartwright, Leona Schrader and Wilma Lawrence.Funeral InformationHer funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14, at 10:30 A.M. at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic. Pastor Chris Martin of Our Saviour"s Lutheran Church in Audubon, Iowa will officiate the services. The committal service will be in the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic.
