Janet Stuetelberg

Janet Arzela Stuetelberg, 72, of Atlantic, passed away Monday on February 25,2002 at the Jennie Edmundson Memorial Hospital in Council Bluffs.The daughter of Esther Sorensen and Jerdon (Wilson) Reeves, Janet was born April 27, 1929, in Atlantic where she grew up and graduated from Atlantic High School with the class of 1947. She was united in marriage to Robert A. Stuetelberg on August 29, 1948, at the Presbyterian Church in Atlantic by the Reverend Howard Lindquist. Janet was an active member of the Wiota United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She particularly enjoyed taking care of her family and home.Surviving are her husband, Robert Stuetelberg of Atlantic; two sons, Dennis Stuetelberg and his wife Laura of Atlantic and Brent Stuetelberg and his wife Pat of Clarinda, Iowa; four grandchildren, Ben Stuetelberg of Chandler, Arizona, Bethany Stuetelberg of Glendale, Arizona, Tracy Williams and her husband Paul of Lake Zürich, Illinois and Nick Stuetelberg of Atlantic; one great grandson, Alex Williams of Lake Zurich, Illinois; brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Delma Stuetelberg, Mildred Kerr, George and Thelma Stuetelberg and Isla Stuetelberg, all of Atlantic; and a number of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Drexel Reeves and his wife Joyce; one sister, Phyllis Bice and her husband Virgil; and one brother-in-law, Fred Stuetelberg.Funeral InformationServices for Janet will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2002, at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic at 1:30 P.M. The Rev. Annette K. Ruhs Kruse of the United Methodist Church in Wiota will officiate. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
