Marvin Strong

Marvin Harding Strong, a long time resident of Cass county, passed away, Sunday, Sept 4, 2005 at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center in Atlantic at the age of 84.Marvin was born in Cumberland, Iowa on March 16, 1921 to Frank W. and Clara Pauline (Croissant) Strong. He attended school at Cumberland and Massena through the 8th grade. Marvin worked for Eblen Construction and later for Cass, Inc. He enjoyed collecting toy antique cars, going on picnics and visiting people.He is survived by a nephew, Donnie Gene Bagley of Lewis, IA, and a niece, Sharon Newman of Council Bluffs, IA.Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Clara Strong; four brothers, Clarence Strong, Clyde Strong, Arthur Strong and Ivan Strong; three sisters, Mable Becker, Rena Strong and Bertha Bagley; one nephew Gerald Bagley.Services for Marvin will be held Saturday, September 10, 2005, at 1:30 P.M. at the Roland Funeral Home with interment in the Atlantic Cemetery.
