JACOB DALE STEWART Jacob Dale Stewart, 21, of Atlantic, died of injuries in a motorcycle/car accident on Friday, October 1, 2010, in Atlantic, Iowa. Jacob was born the son of Dawn (Searl) Stewart and Gerald Stewart in Des Moines, IA, on February 4, 1989. He attended school in Creston and Atlantic completing the 11th grade. Jacob held several job providing him lots of experiences before becoming a meat cutter for the Atlantic Locker Service. He enjoyed working, especially fixing cars, and he loved his motorcycle. His dream car was a Ford Mustang. Jacob was a very active young man, always on the go, and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. One of his favorite bands was ACDC. Most of all, he loved his family. He is survived by his mother, Dawn Stewart, of Atlantic; a brother, Jeffrey Stewart; sisters, Jessica and Jaden Stewart; a son Gavin Stewart, all of Atlantic; grandmother and step-grandfather, Donna and Gary Dudney of Lorimor, Iowa; and great grandmother, Florence Betts, of Des Moines, Iowa. Jacob is preceded in death by his great grandfather Donald Betts.Funeral Information There will be an open visitation on Thursday, October 7, from 8:00 – 5:00 with a family visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 on Thursday evening. Services for Jacob will be held on Friday, October 8, at 1:00 pm at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic with Pastor Lanette Plambeck from the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in the Brighton Township Cemetery northeast of Marne, Iowa. Roland Funeral Service is caring for the Jacob"s family and the arrangements.
