Rose Mary Stenberg
Rose Mary Stenberg, age 83, of Atlantic, Iowa, passed away Friday, April 12, 2002, at her home at Royal Oaks Apartments.The daughter of Nick and Manda (Butkovich) Hecimovich, she was born October 28, 1918 in Marble, Minnesota. She grew up in Nashwauk, Minnesota and attended school in Bovey, Minnesota. Rose was united in marriage to Theodore M. Stenberg on October 1, 1938 also in Bovey, Minnesota. They came to Atlantic in 1947 and she was employed for 30 years as a head cook for the Cass County Memorial Hospital, until retiring in 1981. Rose was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge and the Royal Neighbors.Surviving are her children, Ted Stenberg and his wife, Barb, of Omaha, Nebraska and Rosalie Replogle and her husband, Loren, of Gallatin, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Kevin Replogle and his wife, Suzanne, of Gallatin, Tennessee, Lori Duke and her husband, Billy, of Houston, Texas, Shane Stenberg of Dallas, Texas and Tracy Stenberg English and her husband, Frank, of Dallas, Texas; eight great-grandchildren, Travis and Adam Duke, Taylor, Will and Ryan Replogle, Chaz English, Anastasia Hoosman and Francesca English; two brothers, Tony Hecimovich of Seattle, Washington and John Hecimovich of Coleraine, Minnesota; three sisters, Mary DeBiaso of Burnsville, Minnesota, Marcia Egerdahl of Duluth, Minnesota and Kathryn Makinen of Coleraine, Minnesota.Proceeding her in death were her parents and three brothers, George Hecimovich, Paul Hecimovich and Tommy Hecimovich (in Infancy).Funeral InformationServices for Rose Mary will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2002, at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic, Iowa, at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Ron Barnett officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
