Emma Sorensen

Emma Lorraine Sorensen, 82, a resident of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away in her apartment Saturday, November 23, 2002. The daughter of Soren and Erekka Josphine Elenora (Kristensen) Sorensen, Emma was born August 10, 1920 northwest of Massena, Iowa where she grew up and graduated from high school. She attended beauty school in Omaha. Emma was a bookkeeper with Bicking Oil company in Cumberland and had been employed with Clarkson Hospital in Omaha for a number of years in the central supply department. Emma is survived by one sister Esther Brown and husband Reverend George Brown of Griswold, Iowa and a number of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Walt, Bill, Viggo and Gene Sorensen and one sister Gladys Sorensen.Funeral InformationServices for Emma will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at 11:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Cumberland, Iowa with Pastor Mike Martin officiating.Interment will be in the Newlon's Grove Cemetery southwest of Cumberland.
