George Snow

George Clinton Snow, 89, of Atlantic passed away Saturday, February 24, 2001, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa.He was born April 14, 1911, in State Center, Iowa to Edward and Cora Porter Snow. He was raised in Iowa and later lived in Texas and California and moved to Atlantic in 1947. George married Willena Gray in 1932 and later married Maxine Stephenson. He was united in marriage in 1947 to Lucille Sorensen and in 1986 to Ada Jensen. George worked for Pelgas and Henningsen construction as a truck driver.George is survived by two daughters Yvonne Dittman of Dallas, Texas and Sheryl of Ogden, Utah; a son, Jerry Snow and his wife, Sara, of Yatesville, George and; a son-in-law, Ralph Beck of Atlantic; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren.George was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Elaine Beck; two brothers, Jim and John; four sisters, Mary, Laura, Easter and Maxine; two wives, Lucille and Ada; two grandsons and one great-grandson.Roland Funeral Service -- Atlantic, IowaFuneral InformationServices for George were held Wednesday, February 28, 2001, at 10:30 AM at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa with Reverend Chuck Smith of the First Baptist Church officiating.Interment was in the Atlantic Cemetery in Atlantic, Iowa.
