Ramona Smith

Ramona G. (Woolsey) Smith, 87, of Chandler, Arizona, and formerly of Atlantic, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 16, 2015, peacefully at her home in Chandler.

Ramona was born on April 2, 1928, in Atlantic, Iowa, where she lived until moving to Omaha, Nebraska. She was employed by Western Electric.

She met her devoted husband in Omaha, where they lived for a short time before moving to Springfield, VA. They lived in Springfield for 21 years, and have made Arizona home for the last 25 years.

Ramona is survived by her husband, Robert Smith; daughter, Marlene Frizzell of Sun Lakes, AZ; sons, Michael Rourick of Carlsbad, CA and Bradley Smith of Prescott, AZ; two grandsons; two granddaughters; and two great granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Woolsey; mother, Margaret Woolsey; sisters, Shirley Chisman and Janene Spring; and brothers, Jerry and Donald Woolsey.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, with Pastor Holly Smith of the First United Presbyterian Church officiating. Committal services will be held in the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
