Obituary for Paul Bruce Sein

Paul Bruce Sien, of Atlantic passed away Sunday, March 17, 2002 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic.The son of August and Mary Koepke Sien, Paul was born October 27, 1919, in Atlantic. Throughout his early years, Paul and his family lived in many places, including Glenwood, Lorah, in Menlo. Paul's family ran the general store in Lorah for many years. Paul graduated from Menlo High School in 1939. He served in the United States Navy in World War II, from 1941 to 1945. He was employed by Northern Natural Gas of Oakland for 32 years. In 1973 he was United in marriage to Ina Larsen Cunningham at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic. He was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the American Legion and the Amvets.He is survived by his wife, Ina of Atlantic; a stepdaughter, Susan Cunningham Adolf and her husband, Kenneth Miller of St. Louis, Missouri; one granddaughter, Jeannie Adolf of St. Louis, Missouri; two-step granddaughters, Christine Miller of Chicago, Illinois and Katherine Miller of St. Louis, Missouri; were nephews, Craig Euken and his wife, Judy of Red Oak, Denise you can of Middletown, California, Howard Sien, Jr. of Eugène, Oregon and David Sien and his wife, Valerie of Paradise, California; and two nieces, Carol Derryberry and her husband, bill of Scottsdale, Arizona and Kristine Bolls of Eugène, Oregon.Proceeding Paul in death were his parents, two brothers, Vernon and Howard Sien; one sister, Frances Euken Van Cleave; one nephew, Bruce Sien; and one son-in-law, George Adolf.Roland Funeral Service -- Atlantic, IowaFuneral Information
