Murry Schuler

Murry Schuler, age 92, formerly a resident of rural Griswold, Iowa, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010, at the Heritage House in Atlantic, Iowa. Murry Winfred Schuler was born October 5, 1918, on his parent's farm south of Lyman, IA., in Noble township. He attended Romig Country school then went to Grant Iowa his first two years of high school. He attended Atlantic High School his last two years graduating in 1936. He married Sharlene Knoke on August 27, 1941 and had three daughters, Sheryl, Caryl and Doreen. They farmed and followed the wheat harvest in the summers from 1947 through 1976. Murry accepted Christ as his Savior when he was 12 years old and was a faithful member of the Noble Center United Methodist Church. Preceding him were his parents, Harold and Evelyn (Cocklin) Schuler and his first wife, Sharlene (Knoke) Schuler. He is survived by his wife Pauline (Martens) Schuler of Williamsburg, MI; daughters, Sheryl (Al) Walgenbach of Council Bluffs, IA, Caryl (Scott) Miller of Tolleson, AZ and Doreen (Galen) Ross of Des Moines, IA; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; step-daughter Mary Ruth Ryan of Williamsburg, MI; 3 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Betty) of Villisca, IA, Dorland (Verna) and Duane (Jane) of Griswold, IA; several nieces and nephews.Funeral Information There is open visitation daily at Rolands from 8:00 A.M. to 5:30 P.M.for Murry Schuler.
