David Alen Schlotzhuer
David "Dave&" Alen Schlotzhuer, 35, a resident of rural Atlantic, passed away early Saturday morning, following an extended illness, at his home.It was born in Atlantic, January 25, 1967 to Donald A. and Sandra Dory Schlotzhauer and was a graduate of Atlantic High School, class of 95. He was working at the Nebraska Highway Patrol in Lincoln and was planning to Roll in the Nebraska Highway Patrol School when he was diagnosed with cancer. He was a member of the National Clock And Watch Association. Dave love spending time with his son, Cody; his friends and family were very important to him. He liked old pocket watches, old clocks and old cars.He is survived by his son Cody, four years old, of Hastings, Nebraska; his parents, Don and Sandy Schlotzhauer of Atlantic; his brother, Kevin Schlotzhauer of Atlantic his twin sister, Diana Sievers and her husband, Allen of Walnut; two nephews, Kevin Alan and Kyle Schlotzhauer of Atlantic and three nieces, Valerie, Lauren and Tori Sievers of Walnut, to whom he was known as "Favorite Uncle Dave&"; his fiancée Michele Richardson of Atlantic; aunts, uncles, cousins and history best friends, Doug Towne, Robert Ulveling in John Ulveling.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clark and Valera Dory; paternal grandparents, Art and Pearl Schlotzhauer; his Uncle Robert Schrier; and his cousins, Mike Hardy and Curt Manke.Roland Funeral Service -- Atlantic, IowaFuneral Information
