Frieda Schauberger

Frieda Lena Schauberger, 85, of Atlantic, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at the Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.The daughter of William John and Katherine M. Matthews Schauberger, Freda was born March 9, 1916, three miles south of Swea City, Iowa where she grew up and attended Grant Consolidated School and Swea City School. Frieda was confirmed and baptized in the Swedish Lutheran Church and was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Estherville. She had been a bookkeeper for Joyce Lumber Co., Owen Meredith, and had also been employed by Graham's, Conner's, Rex Pharmacy and Super Value in Atlantic.Surviving are two brothers, Carl R. Schauberger and his wife, Ruth, of Fairmont, Minnesota, and Robert R. Schauberger of Albert Lea, Minnesota; one sister, Amanda Schauberger of Des Moines; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Schauberger of Fairmont, Minnesota; and a number of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Henry O. Schauberger; one sister Matilda M. Madsen; and one brother-in-law, Walter Madsen.Funeral InformationServices for Frieda were held Tuesday, May 22, 2001, at 10:30AM at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa with Pastor Allen D. Hellwege from the Zion Lutheran Church officiating.Interment was in the Atlantic Cemetery, Atlantic, Iowa.
