Craig Ruhr

Craig Douglas Ruhr, 30, a resident of rural Atlantic, Iowa, passed away early Sunday, September 15, 2002, as a result of an automobile accident.The son of Paul Elliott and Janet Ruth (Kelly) Ruhr, Craig was born September 14, 1972 in Atlantic. He lived in Atlantic and graduated from the Atlantic High School in 1991. He lived in Atlantic all his life, with the exception of a short while in Exira and Des Moines. Craig was employed with Glacier for several years and for the last year was then over-the-road semi driver. Craig was currently employed with TMC, Inc. of Des Moines. He attended church at the Fellowship of Faith in Oakland, Iowa.He is survived by two daughters, Ashley Jo Ruhr and Brittany Gene Ruhr, both of Atlantic; his parents, Janet and Paul Ruhr, of Atlantic and Steve Jipp and his wife, Sherry, of Fairfield, Iowa; his grandparents, John and Ruth Kelly, of Anita, Johnny and Nelda Ruhr of Atlantic and Earnest Jipp of Adair; his great-grandmother, Doris Strickland, of Anita; two brothers, Andrew Olson and his wife, Mindy, of Moline, Ilinois and Christian Jipp of Fairfield, Iowa; one niece, Lydia Olson; one nephew, Luke Olson; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his brother, Harley John Ruhr; his grandmother, Burnette Jipp; and his great-grandfather, Clarence Strickland.Roland Funeral Service -- Atlantic, IowaFuneral InformationFuneral services for Craig will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2002, at the Fellowship of Faith Church in Oakland, Iowa at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Mike Kalstrup officiating.
