Darla Rudolph

Darla Rudolph, age 47, has joined the angels she so dearly cherished. She passed away at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center on Thursday, July 21, 2005, following a well fought battle after suffering a stroke February 7, 2005. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Darla was born the daughter of Robert and Norma (Pieken) Campbell in Council Bluffs, Iowa on May 4, 1958. She grew up in Atlantic, Iowa where she graduated from Atlantic High School in 1977. Darla became a nurses" aide and medication aide in the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center and in the Anita Colonial Manor Nursing Home. She is survived by two sons, Brett Imhoff of Atlantic and Shane Rudolph of Perry; a daughter, Tara Swagel and husband, Dustin of Atlantic; four grandchildren, Gustin Swagel, Madilynn Swagel, Taylor Kirchner, and Isaiha Imhoff; two brothers, Dennis Campbell and wife, Sharon of Atlantic and Darryl Campbell and wife, Patricia of Atlantic; three sisters, Delyte Borkowski and husband, Dale of Audubon, Diane Olson and husband, Sidney of Griswold, Dawn Meyer and husband, Raymond of Atlantic; five aunts, Janice Blake and husband, Bart, Margaret Lowery and husband, Jim, Ruth Brown and husband, Howard, Bernice Pieken, and Linda Campbell; one uncle, Wayne Campbell and a number of nieces and nephews.She is preceded in death by her parents; a niece, Sara Borkowski, her aunt, Dorothy Walter; six uncles, Floyd Pieken, Ronald Pieken, Kenneth Pieken, Gayle Campbell, Ivan Campbell and Jack Campbell.A funeral service will be held Monday, July 25, 2005 at 1:30 p.m. at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa. Pastor Doug Durre of the First Church of Christ in Atlantic will officiate, and the interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery at a later date.
