Patricia Rogers

Patricia Lou Rogers passed away Friday, October 12, 2007 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa at the age of 80. Patty was born October 24, 1926 in Iowa City, Iowa to Wayne R. and Faye E. (South) Brown. She attended the Atlantic schools and graduated from Atlantic High School in 1944. On December 28, 1945, she was united in marriage to Orris B. Rogers and they resided in rural Walnut, Iowa. Patty loved cooking and baking, especially for her family.Survivors include her husband, Orris, of rural Walnut; one daughter, Connie and husband Mark Schaberg of Roanoke, Virginia; one son, Scott and wife Pat Rogers of Parker, Colorado; two grandchildren, Todd and wife Laurie Schaberg of Leesburg, Virginia and Kirk and wife Stacy Schaberg of Nazareth, Pennsylvania; four great grandchildren, Torie, Ashley, Hailey and Kaylee and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Patty is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Pamela at birth; one brother, Jack Brown and one sister, Ramona Blend. Services for Patty will be held Friday, October 19, with a burial at the Atlantic Cemetery at 10:00 A.M. and a memorial service following at the United Church of Christ at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Nancy Jensen officiating.
