Ray Richardson
Ray Richardson, 80, a resident of the Atlantic Nursing and Rehab Center, passed away on Sunday morning, November 15, 2003, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa.Ray was born on March 13, 1923 to John and Pearl (Jackson) Richardson in rural Blanchard, Iowa. He was reared in rural Blanchard and graduated from the Blanchard Memorial High School. On June 4, 1950, Ray was united in marriage to Agnes Mae Messinger at her parent's farm home in rural College Springs, Iowa. He worked on the family farm until the mid 50's and then worked as a farm hand during the mid 60's in southwest Iowa until going on disability.Ray is survived by three sons, Larry R. Richardson and wife Mary of Atlantic, IA, Gary L. Richardson and wife Debra of Plattsmouth, NE and Terry L. Richardson and wife Karla of Bowling Green, OH; one daughter Loretta Warner of Clearview City, Kansas; ten grandchildren, Leticia McBain and husband Michael of Kansas City, MO, Stephanie McCoy and husband Cameron of Maryville, MO, Joshua Richardson of Omaha, NE, Dylan Richardson of Norman, OK, Zachery, Duncan and Kelly Richardson all of Bowling Green, OH, Lori Farris of Springfield, MO, Tina Little of Abilene, TX and Ken Simmons of Abilene, TX; seven great grandchildren, Amanda and Megan Wallace, Lindsey and Jacob Farris, Ashley Campbell, Haley Little and Zachery Simmons; his twin sister Fay Foxworthy of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters, Dorothy Harness and husband Ray of Colorado Springs, CO, Mary Lohtka of New Hope, MN and Cleva Mae Pruitt of Lexington, NE; a number of nieces, nephews and cousins; one former sister-in-law Hazel Ringler and husband Jay and one former brother-in-law Ira Messinger.He is preceded in death by his parents John and Pearl; his wife Agnes in 2002; four brothers, Robert, Dale, Glen and John Richardson and one sister Hazel Livengood.Funeral InformationServices for Ray will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2003, at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa at 10:30 AM with Ray Harness officiating. Interment will be in the High Prairie Cemetery in Elmo, Missouri at 2:30 PM.
