Richard "Dick" L. Pross

Richard “Dick” L. Pross, 79, of Atlantic, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Atlantic Specialty Care.

Richard Lee Pross, the son of Frank and Mary Pross, was born June 28, 1942.  He graduated from Atlantic High School.  Dick was united in marriage to Sharon Lane of Atlantic in 1962.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon M. Pross of Atlantic; his children, Jeffery L. Pross of Atlantic, Susan L. Meier of Griswold and Rich (Laura) Pross of Audubon; his grandchildren, Sarah (Nathan) Brownlee of Griswold, Christopher (Amanda) Pross of Pittsburg, Kansas, Cassie (Tony) Dyer of Omaha, Nebraska, Stephanie (Wallace) Santana of North Liberty and Cody Pross of Altoona; great-grandchildren, Josh, Ashlyn and Kamron Brownlee of Griswold, Jaxon and Rylinn Pross of Pittsburg, Kansas, Wesley, Aria, and Krew Dyer of Omaha, Nebraska and Joshua Santana of North Liberty; brother, Frank (Joanne) Pross of Atlantic and Mike (Cheri) Pross of Montana; sister, Judy (Daryl) Andersen of Atlantic; brother-in-law, Richard Retz of Glenwood; sister-in-law, Jackie Pross of Exira; four-legged friend, Scooter; and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Frank and Mary Pross; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Dorothy Lane; son-in-law, Kyle Meier; younger brother, Dennis Pross; brother-in-law, Larry (Carmen Reagles) Lane; and sister-in-law, Betty Ann Retz

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 28, 2022, at Roland Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle McBee of Zion Lutheran Church officiating.  Burial will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.  No visitation with the family present is planned.
