Obituary for Bobby Mac Reason

Bobby Mac Reason, 67, of 208 Washington St in Marne, Iowa, passed away Friday, December 6, 2002, at his home in Marne.Mr. Reason was born July 27, 1935, in Shelby County, Iowa to Robert C. and Ruby (Fredrickson) Reason. When he was six years old they moved to California for a few years. When returning to Iowa they lived north of Marne, later moving to Marne. Bobbie graduated from the Atlantic High School in 1954. He was united in marriage to Janice Ann Voss on November 20, 1955 in the Marne Methodist Church. He worked for the Department of Transportation for forty-one years, retiring in 1997.He was a member of the Marne United Methodist Church. He was a Marne Fireman for many years serving as chief for a number of years. Bobby was a member of the Grove Lodge No. 492 Masons of Marne, Scottish Rite 32nd degree Mason, York Rite, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, and Nishna Valley Shrine Club. His Masonic and Shrine work were very important to him. He was a Shrine Hospital Dad for Jennifer Petersen. Bobby enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling very much. He had many things he collected including guns, belt buckles, watch fobs, trains and caps.Bobby is survived by his wife Janice Ann Reason of Marne; two daughters, Kim McEachern and her husband Aubrey of Melbourne, Florida and Karen K. Reason of Atlantic; one son Kurt Reason and his wife Karen C. of Marne; seven grandchildren, ET3 Brian Hummel, USN, Honolulu, Hawaii, Kristin Hummel of Flagstaff, Arizona, Davy Hummel of Chugiak, Alaska, and Jennifer, Scott, J. D. and Breanna Reason of Marne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruby Reason; one brother Clyde Reason; one sister-in-law Eleanor Reason; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elmer and Thelma Voss.Funeral Information
