Calvin Ream

Calvin "Max&" Ream, 78, of Lincoln, Nebraska and formerly of Marne, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2001, at Lancaster Manor in Lincoln.The son of Lewis Calvin and Helga (Nielsen) Ream, Max was born February 12, 1923, in Atlantic where he grew up and graduated from Atlantic High School in 1941. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was united in marriage to Lillian Christina Christiansen on August 15, 1946, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic. Max had resided in Lincoln, Nebraska since 1964. He was a member of the Mormon Church.Surviving are one son, Kenneth A. Ream; two daughters, Kathryn A. Fick and Barbara J. Greene; six grandchildren, Daniel Fick, Stephanie Teach, Melissa Ann Larson, Chris L. Ream, Travis Ream and Joshua Robbins; and six great-grandchildren, Cody Shea Markeley, Kayla Ann and Bryan Teach, Christian A., Jacob L., and Erica Nikole Larson, all of Lincoln, Nebraska.He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.Funeral InformationServices for Calvin were held Monday, June 11, 2001, at 1:30 PM at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa with Branch President Edward Conwell of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating.Interment was in the Brighton Township Cemetery norheast of Marne, Iowa.
