Joie Razor

Joie Ellen Razor, 82, a resident of the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Millard, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2003.Joie was born on November 2, 1921 to Albert and Hanna (Wang) Ness in Courtney, North Dakota. She moved to the Northfield, Minnesota area as a young girl and later her family moved to LaCross, Wisconsin. She attended school until the 8th grade and later in life went on to get her GED. In 1940 Joie married Keith Reagles and from this union three children were born. In 1948 she moved to Des Moines, Iowa and married James Razor and from this union three children were born. In 1953 they moved to Atlantic. Joie moved back to Des Moines in 1964 and worked as a cook at the Hyperion country Club until she was 73 years old. In 2001 she moved to the Millard Good Samaritan Nursing Home.Joie is survived by a son, Keith Reagles and wife Carmen of Marne, IA; a daughter, Amber Road of Morris, IL; a son, Rolland Razor of Omaha, NE; a son, Jamie Razor and wife Carol of Mexico, MO; a daughter Susan Wiedemeyer and husband William of Omaha, NE; a sister, Helen J. Edgar and husband Lloyd of Junction City, KS; a brother, Edgar H. Ness of Onalaska, WI; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.Joie was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Karen Wiedemeyer; a son, John in infancy; two brothers, Albert and Bernard Ness and two sisters, Margaret Gellermen and Gertrude Burcum.Funeral InformationServices for Joie will be Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at 11:00 AM at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic with Pastor Dennis Meyer of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic officiating. Interment will be in the North Prairie Lutheran Cemetery west if /Rushford MN.
