Charlotte L. Ray
Charlotte Lynn (King) Ray, 68, of Spencer passed away Thursday, September 2, 2004 at St. Luke Lutheran Home in Spencer after a long battle with breast cancer. Charlotte, the daughter of Loren and Mildred (Minor) King was born April 22, 1936 in Atlantic, Iowa. She received her education and high school diploma from Atlantic High School.Charlotte married Larry Ray on October 22, 1960 in Atlantic. Following their marriage they moved to Anita, Iowa and then back to Atlantic. Charlotte was a switchboard operator for Northwestern Bell Telephone for 17 years and then quit to become a homemaker. Charlotte recently retired. She previously resided in Grimes, Iowa and moved to Spencer to be closer to family.
