Clara Ramsey

Clara Martens Ramsey, former Atlantic resident, passed away at Hillcrest Health Plaza in Bellevue, NE on March 12, 2003The daughter of John D. and Anna Martens, Clara was born July 29, 1915 in Cumberland, Iowa. She graduated from Cumberland High School in 1932, where she was active in girls basketball, playing in the State High School Basketball Tournament. She married Fred Ramsey on June 8, 1935. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jeaneen and Charles Fuglsang; granddaughter, Lori Belford and husband, John; grandson, David Fuglsang and wife, Theresa; five great-grandchildren, Michael, Mark, Matthew and Catherine Belford and William Fuglsang, all of Omaha, and nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by husband, Fred; grandson, Scott Fuglsang; great-grandson, Peter Fuglsang; brothers and sisters, Sophia Campen, Bertha Claussen, Hannah Kloppenburg, Max Martens, Theresa Gaines and John Martens.Funeral InformationA graveside service will be held at the Atlantic Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16 for Clara.
