Obituary for Olwyn Price
Olwyn Price, 87, of Atlantic passed away at the Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic on Monday, March 18th, 2013.
She was born on May 12th, 1925 in England. It was there that she would meet William, her husband, who joined the effort in World War II. They married in 1945 and resided in England for several years.
The two of them lived briefly in Southeast Iowa and Northeast Missouri, but later settled in Atlantic in the 1960's. She worked as a secretary at Price and Waters Insurance in Atlantic from 1965 through 1986. They have been members at the First United Methodist Church since the 1960's. Olwyn enjoyed painting pictures, making teddy bears, and writing poetry.
Olwyn is survived by her husband, William E Price; her sons, Mark (Pamela) Price of State Center, Iowa, Paul (Connie) Price of Atlantic, Iowa, John (Linda) Price of Aurora, Colorado; grandchildren, Jill (Erik) Jacobson, Amanda (Will) Schneller; two great-grandchildren, Zoey Jacobson and Kirsten Jacobson; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother Sarah, her step-father, Arthur; her brother, Gordon and two sisters, Meagan (Ron) and Jenny (Erick).
