Marvel Pollock

Marvel Pollock, 84, a longtime resident of rural Atlantic, Iowa died Saturday, October 2, 2004 at the Heritage House in Atlantic.Marvel was born the daughter of Joan J. and Marie Amanda (Sothman) Euken September 27, 1920, and her grandmother's home in Cass County, Iowa area She Attended Country School through the Eighth Grade and Graduated from Cumberland High School. She attended the Chillico the school of business. She was united in marriage to Malcolm Kirk Pollock on February 27, 1944 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church south of Wiota. Following married they lived in rural Anita and have lived and continued to farm at their rural Atlantic address since 1957. Marvel was a wonderful wife, mother and homemaker and was a member of the Wiota United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school for 40 years and was very active in the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Cass County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Cass County Farm Bureau, and Cass County Democrats.She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Copeland and husband, Danny of Rockford, Illinois and Janet Uthoff and her husband, Vince, of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren, Amy Cosler and her husband, Jim of Cary, Illinois, Jenny Goddard and her husband, Andrew, of San Diego, California, Sarah Copeland of New York City, New York Tim Copeland of Grayslake, Illinois, talent, rather and airy Utoff, all of Austin, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Kate and Grace Cosler and Benjamin Goddard; one sister, Erma Lensch of Des Moines; one sister-in-law Margaret Norman and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
