Lola Petersen

Lola Marie Petersen, 73, a resident of the Atlantic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2004 at the Atlantic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Lola was the daughter of Otto and Mary (Ludwig) Akers born on August 29, 1930 in Audubon County. He grew up in the Exira area and attended the Exira school. Lola"s marriage to Glenn Petersen to place January 5, 1948 in Hiawatha, Kansas. Lola and Glenn lived in Lewis since 1963. Lola was a Certified Nurse's Aid and had worked at the Heritage House in Atlantic Care Center until her retirement in 1998. She is a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic.She is survived by one daughter and I am so and her husband Craig of Elliott, Iowa and two sons Jeff Petersen and his wife Paula; and Stephen Petersen and wife Jackie all of Papillion, Nebraska; eight grandchildren the Nicole Goehring and husband Paul of Omaha, Nebraska; con silk of Elliott; Brandi , Christopher, Cole, Savanah, Spencer and Sawyer Petersen of Papillion, Nebraska; one great-granddaughter Kaitlin Goehring of Omaha, Nebraska; one brother Delbert Akers and his wife Naomi of Anita, Iowa; one sister Lois Ann Newell and husband Raymond of Bentonville, Arkansas; two sisters in-law Leita Akers of Walnut, Iowa and Penny Akers of Exira, Iowa; one brother-in-law Melvin Petersen and his wife Virginia of Exira, Iowa two sisters in-law Elise Johansen of Audubon and Maxine Miller and her husband Jerry of Des Moines Iowa; and many other nieces, nephews and friends.Lola was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glen, three brothers Dale, Don and Robert Akers, two brothers in law Vernon and Donald Petersen and two sisters in-law Eva and Lorraine Larsen.Funeral InformationIN LOVING MEMORY OFLOLA MARIE PETERSENBorn August 29, 1930Audubon CountyENTERED INTO RESTTuesday, March 2, 2004Atlantic, Iowa73 years, 6 month, 3 daysFUNERAL SERVICESFriday, March 5, 2004Ten-Thirty A.M.St. Paul"s Lutheran ChurchAtlantic, IowaOFFICIATINGRev.
