Max Peron

Max "Putsy" Elan Peron, 77, of rural Wiota, Iowa, passed away Monday, December 2, 2002, at his home.The son of Elan Osmer and Mildred Mary (Meyers) Peron, Max was born March 29, 1925 in Atlantic, Iowa. He graduated from Lewis High School in 1942 and attended Iowa State University for one year. Max was united in marriage to Ursula Maude Jones on April 29, 1945 in Atlantic. They moved to the Anita / Wiota area in 1951. Putsy was a farmer his entire life. He was a member of the Anita Methodist Church.Surviving are his wife Ursula; his children, Ruth Suplee of Des Moines, Sheryl McMullen and her husband Thomas of Lewis, Elan Peron and his wife Sandy of Hastings, Iowa and Renee Stolberg and her husband John of Bolingbrook, Illinois; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral InformationA memorial service will be held for Max on Saturday, December 7, 2002, at 2:00 P.M. at 71988 Galveston Road, Wiota, Iowa with a committal service on Monday, December 9, at 2:00 P.M. at the Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev. Max Hall will officiate.
