Obituary for Phyllis Joan Pedersen

Phyllis Joan Pedersen, 59, a resident of Oakland, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2003, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.Phyllis was born March 7, 1944 in Atlantic, Iowa to Carroll and Frieda Hoyt Fudge. She grew up in Atlantic and attended the Atlantic schools. She married Lawrence Paul Pattersen on September 23, 1966 in Millard, Nebraska. Following their marriage, Phyllis and Lawrence lived in Atlantic, Council Bluffs and Walnut before moving to Oakland in 1979. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Council Bluffs, Iowa.Surviving are her husband Lawrence, one son Richard Pedersen of Council Bluffs, three step-sons, William (Bill) Pedersen of Bridgewater, Larry Pedersen and his wife Karen of Atlantic, and Don Pedersen of Atlantic; two step-daughters, Bette of Corning and Terri Sue Clinton of Missouri; two brothers, Delmer Fudge of Atlantic and Clifford Fudge and his wife Jo Ruth of Newton; one sister Charlotte Mauk of Colorado; one brother-in-law Gilbert Pedersen and his wife Madeline of Atlantic; one sister-in-law Marlene Bagsted of Duluth, MN; and several nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Nancy Pedersen in 1986, a sister Margaret Fudge, a brother Britton Fudge, and one brother-in-law Harold Pedersen of Michigan.Funeral InformationGraveside servuces were held June 25, 2003 for Phyllis at the Brighton Township Cemetery northeast of Marne at 11:00 AM with Pastor Duane Annunson of Omaha, NE officiating.Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic is in charge of the arrangements.
