Richard E. Norman
RICHARD E. NORMAN Richard Norman, 51, of rural Lewis, Iowa and formerly of Marshall, Missouri passed away at his sister and brother-in-law's home where he resided near Lewis, on Sunday, July 19, 2009. Richard was born the son of Ralph I. and Jackie (Craig) Norman December 23, 1957 in Dallas, Texas. He grew up in Marshall, Missouri and following his schooling, served in the United States Army branch of the military. He refinished wood floors and was the family traveler. He saw the sights and came home to share his adventures. Places he resided include Atlantic, IA, Marshall, MO, Knoxville, TN, Virginia Beach, VA, Corpus Christi and Kansas City, MO. His family will remember Richard as being extremely "easy going." They relate, with a smile, that he loved fishing, camping, flirting and that food made him happy. He thought the world of his nieces and nephews and took a big interest in their worlds. Richard was a Baptist. His survivors include his mother Jackie Heavner and her husband Bob of Lewis, IA and formerly Kansas City; two sisters, Linda Norman of Corpus Christi, TX and Cindy Buboltz and husband Gary of Lewis, IA; one brother Jesse Norman; two step-brothers a step-sister and a step-mother and two half-brothers, all of Marshall, MO as follow: Steven and Keith Halsey, Tina Halsey, Ann Norman, Jason and Warren Norman; three nephews, Michael Lilienthal of Atlantic, IA, Jeffrey Cloughly of Oxnard, CA and Chance Norman of Marshall, MO; a niece Daniel Norman of Marshall, MO; an Uncle Gene Norman of Bakersfield, CA and other nieces and nephews, cousins and friends throughout the United States. He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Ira Norman and his grandparents.Funeral InformationThere will be open visitation daily at Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, from 8:00 to 5:00 until the family will meet with relatives and friends on Friday evening, July 24 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A Celebration of Richard's Life will begin at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, July 25th, in the home of Cindy and Gary Buboltz where Richard resided.
