Linda Nancarrow

Linda Nancarrow, age 62, of Atlantic, Iowa passed away Friday, January 7, 2005 at the Cass County Memorial Hospital.Linda was born in Denver, Colorado November 15, 1942 to Eldred Leroy and Jeanne Ione (Tibben) Nancarrow and grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and Fargo, North Dakota. In 1954, Linda contracted polio. She graduated from high school in Fargo and then graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in math. After college, Linda was employed by the Acme Welding Supply Company in Fargo for 10 years and then went to college in Moorhead, Minnesota where she received a degree in accounting. She then started her own accounting and tax business in her home in Fargo. Linda moved to Atlantic in 1989 and started a business out of her home. While living in North Dakota, Linda was named Handicapped Person of the Year in 1976. Linda was a dual member of Eastern Star belonging to the Mecca Chapter of Eastern Star in Fargo, N.D. and the Exodus Chapter 313 in Exira, IA. She was also an active member of the United Church of Christ in Atlantic.Linda is survived by her mother Jeanne of Atlantic and three aunts, Mardelle Nancarrow and Alene Nancarrow of Exira and Myrna Rabe of Anita, IA.
