Frederick Namanny

Frederick "Bud&" Gilbert Namanny, 64, of Atlantic, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2002, at his home.The son of Frederick and Thelma Irene (Pedersen) Namanny, Bud was born March 20, 1937, in Walnut, Iowa where he grew up and attended school. He was united in marriage to Linda Kae Christiansen on September 9, 1956 in Atlantic where they have lived since marriage. Bud was a truck driver for Walnut Grove for thirty-four years.Surviving are his wife, Linda Namanny; one son, Ted Namanny and his wife, Jan; one daughter, Joni Knudsen and husband, Kirk, all of Atlantic; four grandchildren, Tarah and Jake Knudsen and Josh and Trevor Namanny of Cedar Rapids, IA; two step grandchildren, Austin and Keaton Wise of Atlantic; one daughter-in-law, Michelle Namanny of Cedar Rapids, IA; one brother, Ed Namanny and his wife, Rae Jean, of Oakland, IA; two sisters, Beverly Johansen of Omaha, NE and Shirley Christiansen and her husband, Norman, of Harlan, IA; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederic and Thelma Namanny; and his son Kim Namanny.Funeral InformationServices for Bud will be held at the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic on Wednesday, January 16, 2002, at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Ron Barnett of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Atlantic officiating. Interment will be in the Atlantic Cemetery.
