Obituary for Vera Lavern Morgan

Vera Lavern Morgan, 91, a resident of Heritage House in Atlantic, passed away Wednesday evening, January 24, 2001, at the Cass County Memorial Hospital. The daughter of Josh and Nora Parrott Cousins, Vera was born January 29, 1909, on a farm near Brayton. She graduated from Atlantic High School in 1927. Her marriage to Charles Wesley Morgan took place September 9, 1933, in Council Bluffs. She had been employed at Cass County Memorial Hospital for twenty-eight years. Vera was a member of the First Baptist Church in Atlantic.Vera is survived by one son, Bill Morgan and his wife, Marge; two grandchildren, Doug Morgan and Lee Ann Hanson and her husband, Bruce; two great-grandchildren, Christina and Brent Hansen, all of Atlantic; and a number of nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.Roland Funeral Service -- Atlantic, IowaFuneral InformationA graveside service was held for Vera on Saturday, January 27, 2001, at 9:30 AM at the Atlantic Cemetery, Atlantic, Iowa with Reverend Chuck Smith of the First Baptist Church officiating.
