Mary Morgan

Mary Anderson Morgan, age 89, of Joshua Tree, California, died June 26, 2006.Mary was born April 1, 1917 to Edward and Agnes (Mahaffey) Hill. She was united in marriage to William "Bill" Morgan on August 15, 1942 at Wee Kirk Heather, CA. To this union two children were born. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family meant so much to her.She grew up and lived in the Cleveland, Ohio area where she met Bill. After their marriage, they moved to Upland, CA and attended the Avenue 54 Church in Los Angeles CA. Mary was a cook for the Clairmont Home for quite some time and she also worked for the Western Assemblies Home at Upland for six years, the Bank of America and for Mrs. Charles Cowman at Streams of Dessert Books. They lived in Atlantic for several years where Bill was very active in preaching and radio ministry before moving to Clairmont, CA. While in Atlantic, Mary worked at the Cass County Hospital for 18 years. After Bill's passing in 2000, Mary lived in Griswold for a few years then moved to the Western Assemblies Home in California for two years before moving to Joshua Tree, CA to be closer to her daughter. Mary's kind ways and happy smile will be remembered by all those who have been left behind. She is happy with her Lord and Savior now in glory.Mary attended the Atlantic Gospel Chapel for many years where she played the piano for the chapel and for the radio program of the chapel and she also taught Sunday School. Mary enjoyed reading her Bible very much. She also enjoyed working with her flowers, crocheting and knitting and being with her family most of all.Mary is survived by her two children, Janet Bieles of Joshua Tree, CA and Edward Morgan of Upland, CA; her grandchildren, Carolyn Bieles and Clyde Bieles of Joshua Tree, CA, Zachary Morgan and Alex Morgan of Upland, CA and many nieces, nephews and friends.She is preceded in death by her dear husband, Bill who passed away November 6, 2000; her parents and her son-in-law, Clyde Bieles.Following memorial services there will be a luncheon at the Atlantic Gospel Chapel in Atlantic. Interment of the cremated remains will be at the Pleasant Township Cemetery south of Griswold, IA.On Tuesday, August 15, at 9:00 A.M. there will be a graveside service held at the Pleasant Township Cemetery, south of Griswold, with Bob Lindeman officiating. The committal will be followed by a 10:30 memorial in the Roland Funeral Home in Atlantic, Iowa.
